Welcome to the official website of the Village of Ravena! We invite you to visit us in person but in the meantime feel free to "visit" us though our web pages. You can also visit the "Village of Ravena" on Facebook.
Just some friendly reminders:
Grass Clippings and Leaves: Please place in bags. The leaf vacuum is only out in the fall. Also please do not blow the grass clippings into the street.
Bags: Grass, leaves and vegetable compost only in bags. No heavier than 50 lbs.
Brush: Cut end toward the road. Do not crisscross brush. No other lawn debris on brush pile.
Please do not blow or place your grass clippings in our streets. This continues to be a problem as it is slippery when wet ( a problem especially for motorcycles), clogs our storm sewers, etc. We have been informed that the police can assist us with this problem by enforcing NYS V&T Law 1220(a). If you place your grass clippings in bags, our Village crew will pick the bags up and dispose of them for you.
The Village will pick up your real Christmas trees starting now until January 31st weather permitting. Trees must be placed curbside with NO lights, completely UNdecorated, and not in any sort of plactic bags. The trees will be put directly through the chipper.
Effective 3-26-20 the dog park will be closed. It is a place where people/ pets can congregate which goes against all current covid-19 instructions.
If you have a paid permit, the lost usage time will be added to your year.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this is necessary.
We will update you when we are given the all clear.
Also, while Mosher park remains open, the equipment is not to be used, as we have no effective means of sanitizing it.
Walk, run, play!
But do not congregate nor USE the equipment.
Thank you very much
