The Albany Starfish Swim Club is excited to announce its new swim lesson program. This swim lesson program is designed to teach children ages 3 - 14 and build confidence in the water through swim education. The program will teach swimming techniques in a fun setting, building confidence and safe behavior in the water. Summer lessons will be located at Mosher Park Pool in two week long sessions with a swim lesson every morning Monday through Thursday, between 10:00 - 10:40 am or 10:50 - 11:30 am.

Just some friendly reminders:
Grass Clippings and Leaves: Please place in bags. The leaf vacuum is only out in the fall. Also please do not blow the grass clippings into the street.
Bags: Grass, leaves and vegetable compost only in bags. No heavier than 50 lbs.
Brush: Cut end toward the road. Do not crisscross brush. No other lawn debris on brush pile.
Passes for the Mosher Park Pool will be available for the 2018 season beginning on June 1, 2018. You must present a photo id and a utility bill to obtain a pass. Applications for both Village of Ravena residents and non-residents are available on our forms page.
Changes to pool fees are as follows:
VILLAGE OF RAVENA RESIDENTS: Guests accompanied by a Village pass holder may obtain a day pass for $3 per person (3 years and older) per day.
TOWN OF COEYMANS AND TOWN OF NEW BALTIMORE RESIDENTS: You may also obtain a day pass for $3 per person (3 years and older) per day.. Also you may obtain seasonal passes at the Village Clerks Office. The costs are as follows: Single - $65.00, Double - $75.00, and Family - $100.00.
ALL OTHERS: Day passes may be obtained at $5.00 per person (3 years and older) per day.
Village of Ravena Tax bills will be mailed on May 31, 2018 and due by June 29, 2018. After June 29, 2018 late penalties will be added to the bill.

Reminders about NYS Laws about Fireworks
NYS Laws approve ONLY sparking devices which are ground based or hand held devices that produce a shower of white, gold or colored sparks.
These fireworks may also include a colored flame, an audible crackling effect, an audible whistle effect and /or smoke.
Sparkling devices must NOT rise into the air, must NOT fire inserts or projectiles into the air and must NOT be exploding.
Torpedoes, skyrockets, firecrackers, bottle rockets, rockets, roman candles and bombs are defined by law as "dangerous fireworks" and are still ILLEGAL.
It is a crime to provide sparkling fireworks to anyone under 18 years of age even in states that fireworks have been legalized.
ALSO approved sparkling devices are ONLY legal ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, not the weekend before, 3 days before, or anytime after.
